Gal Gadot! Not many people were aware of this Israeli name before DC released their latest film, Wonder Woman.
After acquiring smaller roles in the films like Fast & Furious and Triple 9, Gal Gadot decided to do much more in Hollywood. Thanks to her recent lead role in the movie Wonder Woman that has already established her as a household name worldwide.
The film has already earned a milestone of $100 million dollars at the box-office and rocket launched the career of this beautiful Israeli Wonder Woman. A queue of her fans outside her home will be an everyday story.
Now, as we're assured that we'll be seeing this 32-year-old face more often on the silver screen as she'll be playing the titular role in three blockbusters over the coming years, and there can be no genuine time than this to build a stock of knowledge about this beautiful Miss Israeli Woman, Gal Gadot.
Let's have a look!
1 She never wanted to win the Miss Universe.
The Israeli beauty had first hit it big at the age of 18 when she had won the Miss Israeli pageant in Israel. In 2004, she went on to compete in Miss Universe; and then soon realised she was reluctant to win the title. To support this, she started behaving awkwardly with everyone, would show up in unattractive outfits at the event and even pretended that she doesn't even know how to speak English.
2 She served in the Israeli military.
Gal has worked as a combat instructor in Israel Defense Forces for almost two years. It was because of her military background and knowledge of weapons that landed her a role of Gisele in Fast and Furious.
3 She believes in doing her own stunts.
Gadot rode a 2006 Ducati Monster S2R bike and performed her stunts all by herself in the film Fast and Furious.
4 She did not know about the role.
When Gal Gadot was auditioned for the role, she 'literally' had no idea about what role she's going to perform. She only got to know when she was told she had the role.
5 She is jack of all trades.
To train for the role of Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot took lessons in Kung Fu, Swordsmanship, and Kickboxing.
6 Gal Gadot has an interesting background.
Gal's maternal grandparents were Holocaust survivors, and in Hebrew, her first name means 'Wave', and her surname means 'riverbanks'. Later she went on to study law and international relations.
7 A building has been lit up for her.
It's not about what she has done in life, but what has happened to her before the Israeli premiere of the film. The Azrieli Centre in Tel Aviv was lit up in her honour. It read "We are proud of you, our Wonder Woman."
